[What the role is]

You will be part of a dynamic team that will drive the next generation of digital payment solutions and enhancement to Singapore’s national payment schemes to anchor Singapore’s position as a global payments hub, through policy and scheme governance and infrastructure projects with the industry.

[What you will be working on]

  • Work closely with payments ecosystem stakeholders to co-create payment strategies and enhance national payment infrastructure such as PayNow, SGQR, eGIRO, including overseeing the end-to-end development from problem identification, to design and solutioning and implementation and industry roll out;

  • Develop and refine relevant policies and frameworks for better governance and risk management of our national payment schemes, as well as ongoing administration and management of the payment schemes;

  • Drive national payment project and initiatives, while collaborating and building strategic relationships with financial institutions, associations and key industry players; to ensure their current resilience and capacity to enable market participant to capture opportunities in the payment landscape of the future;

  • Analyse key trends driving payments innovation, cross-border payments, understand governance models and investments in payments infrastructures made by other countries, and derive lessons for Singapore;

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones for successful implementation of project, including managing expectations and building trust and shared objectives between different stakeholder groups.

[What we are looking for]

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, technology or related field

Experience

  • Keen interest in payments and FinTech sector

  • Relevant experience in financial services, public policy and payments regulations will be advantageous

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of payment systems, local and global payments landscape, financial technology and infrastructure, and banking industry trends would be an advantage

  • Effective communication skills and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to positively influence across all levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
