Senior Coordinator, Institutional Partnerships (Brussels) 

Department: Resource Development 

Location: Brussels 

Reports to: Senior Manager, Foundations 

Status: Full-time (One year contract as starting point) 


Position Summary 

The Senior Coordinator, Institutional Partnerships provides high-level coordination and strategic support for the organization’s relationships with institutional funders, including U.S. and European foundations, European governments, EU institutions, and multilateral organizations. Based in Brussels, this role supports fundraising operations, external engagement, and internal coordination, ensuring partnerships are well managed and aligned with organizational priorities. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Institutional & Foundation Partnership Coordination: 
  • Coordinate the full life cycle of institutional partnerships, including proposals, grant agreements, reporting, renewals, and stewardship. 
  • Support U.S. and European foundation relationships, as well as public and multilateral funders. 
  • Maintain tracking of deadlines, requirements, and commitments. 
  • Serve as a coordination point between Resource Development, programs, Finance, and other partners. 
  • Strategic Support and Donor Engagement: 
  • Prepare briefings and research for funder engagement. 
  • Support meetings led by the Senior Manager, Foundations; Manager, Multilaterals, and other senior staff. 
  • Assist in identifying and tracking new funding opportunities. 
  • Proposal and Reporting Support: 
  • Coordinate proposal and report development across teams. 
  • Support financial narratives and budgets with Finance. 
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements. 
Requirements

 Qualifications 

  • Four years of relevant experience in foundation or institutional fundraising within a think tank or similar nonprofit organization.  
  • Familiarity with European public funders and foundations. 
  • Strong project management and writing skills. 
  • Interest in transatlantic and international affairs.  
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages desirable but not required.

Salary Description
Starting Salary: €42,200
